North Dakota a Best Choice to Retirement Outdoor Life Names North Dakota in Best Places Issue Outdoor Life magainze named Bismarck, Williston, Devils Lake and Jamestown in its top 100 picks for best places. Outdoor Life Magazine's second-annual "200 Best Places to Live" issue ranks U.S. cities by taking into account numerous factors. Some were: population growth, median home value, cost of living, etc. Also included in the research were how outdoors friendly they were: how close they are to public hunting land and fishable waters.
