Company Christmas Cards Publisher Donates $10,000
Prudent Publishing's GalleryCollection.com, the leading company Christmas cards publisher in the nation, has made its second annual donation to Soldiers' Angels military support program, Project Valour-IT.
Project Valour-IT raises funds to purchase adaptive laptops and other technology for severely wounded service members, aiding in the physical and psychological recovery of these military men and women. GalleryCollection.com made a $10,000 donation to Project Valour-IT, which is enough funding for the program to purchase and distribute 18 of these specialized laptops.
H.L. DeVore, GalleryCollection.com's Chief Marketing Officer, announced the donation at a bipartisan Soldiers' Angels gala held on November 6 in Washington D.C. The event was hosted by House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer and House Minority Leader Roy Blunt with special guest speaker Admiral Michael Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
DeVore received an invitation to the gala because of GalleryCollection.com's donation in August of 180,000 imprinted and personalized holiday cards to the Soldiers' Angels program, Wrapped in Holiday Spirit. The program is coordinating efforts to have the cards delivered in holiday care packages to all deployed military personnel serving tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Back home in New Jersey, DeVore commented on the bipartisan gala and the donation announcement: "It was an honor announcing our donation to Project Valour-IT at such a well-received event."
