The Federal Stimulus Bill Offers Opportunities for Research and Grants

 

The new Federal Stimulus Bill (the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act [ARRA] signed into law by President Obama this week) has provided a funding boost with significant research and grant opportunities.  This email is intended to call your attention to the Bill and to encourage you to EXPLORE the opportunities within your OWN disciplines and areas of interest. 

 

Note that this funding, which is authorized "on top" of funding which Congress normally appropriates for federal programs – will be available relatively quickly – within the next year or two.  Much of it will need to be "committed" within the present federal fiscal year which ends September 30, 2009.  If you want to take advantage of this funding, THERE IS NO TIME TO WASTE!
