Spouses to Teachers Transitions to Military OneSource

Effective October 1, 2008, the Spouses to Teachers Program transitioned to the Military OneSource Center.

Consultants are available to provide career and education guidance for active duty military spouses. It is targeted to be operational in January 2009. Interested military spouses will be able to find the latest information on the Military OneSource Web site.

Spouses to Teachers was such a successful pilot program that DoD is expanding it to be included in the future Military Spouse Career Advancement Account Program (MSCAAP).

The pilot program offered funding up to $600 for licensure or certification, but under MSCAAP, spouses will have access to funds up to $6,000 for education and training for teacher certification.
